The Wheelock EL3RMT-NR is a NEMA 3R rated outdoor multi-tone horn. It comes from Eaton’s Eluxa weatherproof notification line. Specifically, this model provides audible-only signaling with field-selectable tones. As a result, one device serves several alert patterns. The red housing fits commercial fire alarm systems built to NFPA 72.
Weatherproof Design
First, the NEMA 3R / IP54 enclosure resists rain, sleet, and windblown dust. Therefore, it performs in covered outdoor and wet indoor areas. In addition, the unit operates from -40°F to 150°F. The UV-stabilized engineered plastic also withstands sun exposure.
Audible Performance
The horn offers multiple field-selectable tones for flexible signaling. Installers choose the tone on site, so one model covers many jobs. Furthermore, the appliance runs on 24 VDC. It ships ready to mount with the included 3R mounting plate.
