The Wheelock EL4XMT-NR is a NEMA 4X / IP66 rated outdoor multi-tone horn. It comes from Eaton’s Eluxa weatherproof notification line. Notably, this model is an audible-only appliance with no strobe. The red housing ships with a NEMA 4X surface back box. As a result, it signals reliably in demanding commercial environments.
Eight Selectable Tones
First, the Wheelock EL4XMT-NR offers eight field-selectable tones in one device. These include Horn, Bell, March Time, and Code 3 Horn. In addition, it provides Code 3 Tone, Slow Whoop, Siren, and Hi/Lo. Therefore, one model covers fire, alert, and evacuation signaling. The horn tone reaches up to 88 dBA at 10 feet. This rating is reverberant per UL 464 and ULC-S525.
Built for the Outdoors
The NEMA 4X / IP66 enclosure resists corrosion, ice, dust, and water jets. Therefore, it performs from -40°F to 150°F. In addition, it operates on 16 to 33 VDC or FWR. The two-wire design mounts on a wall or ceiling.
