The Wheelock PS-8-EXP-LP is a POWERPATH fire alarm power supply with a preinstalled expansion module. It supplies filtered, regulated power to notification appliance circuits. Therefore it boosts NAC capacity on commercial fire alarm systems.
Wheelock PS-8-EXP-LP power output
This unit delivers 8 amps of power across four outputs. Specifically, each output is rated 3.0 amps in Class B or Class A. In addition, the preinstalled PS-EXP module supports 8 Class B or 4 Class A circuits. As a result, one supply covers large notification layouts.
Inputs and control
First, two FACP NAC circuits can connect to the inputs. Alternatively, two dry-contact initiating circuits work as well. Then these inputs route to any combination of the four outputs. Furthermore, the unit offers temporal Code 3, constant voltage, Wheelock Sync output, and input-to-output follower mode.
Battery capacity
The lockable red chassis holds 7 AH batteries internally. In addition, an external cabinet supports charging up to 33 AH batteries. As a result, the supply scales to longer standby requirements.
