The Autocall A4098-9755 is an addressable TrueAlarm duct sensor housing. It detects smoke inside HVAC and air-handling ductwork. Furthermore, it ships with the photoelectric duct sensor already installed.
Duct air enters through a sampling tube and passes across the photoelectric sensor. As a result, the housing samples airflow for smoke. In addition, sampling tubes are ordered separately to match each duct width.
Loop-Powered Addressable Operation
The A4098-9755 draws power and communicates over the addressable loop. Specifically, it operates on MAPNET II or IDNet communication wiring. Therefore, it needs no separate power supply. Also, the panel offers seven TrueAlarm sensitivity levels, from 0.2% to 3.7% per foot.
Mounting and Duct Sizes
The housing mounts on rectangular or round ducts. However, minimum duct size is 8″ (203 mm) square or 18″ (457 mm) diameter. This basic model has no onboard relay. For a relay-equipped housing, use the 4098-9756 instead.
