The ALLEGION FSL100-IR3-W is a triple-infrared (IR3) flame detector in a white housing. It detects flames using three infrared wavelengths. As a result, it responds quickly while rejecting many false-alarm sources. The detector covers both hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fires.
ALLEGION FSL100-IR3-W detection performance
The IR3 model reaches a 35-meter detection range. Specifically, it alarms within 10 seconds to a 1 ft² (0.1 m²) n-heptane fire. In addition, it offers a cone of vision of at least 90 degrees, both horizontally and vertically. Therefore, a single detector covers a wide area.
Advanced signal filtering separates real fire from non-fire infrared sources. As a result, the FSL100-IR3-W reduces nuisance alarms in demanding environments.
Approvals and applications
The detector carries FM3260 approval and FM3611 Class 1 Division 2 certification. It also meets EN54-10 and is rated for ATEX zone 22. These approvals suit industrial sites, energy facilities, and other high-risk areas.
