The Mircom EL-7061S is an emergency LED battery backup unit in a steel shell. First, the 20-gauge steel housing resists corrosion in damp locations. Then two built-in 2 W LED heads light the path during an AC failure. As a result, the EL-7061S supplies the building’s emergency lighting load from a single fixture.
Mircom EL-7061S power and runtime
Input voltage is 120-347 VAC universal at 50/60 Hz. In addition, the EL-7061S draws only 3.2-3.6 W on AC. Specifically, the integrated 6 V 6 Ah sealed lead-acid battery is rated for 24-hour recharge. Therefore, it returns to full standby within a single shift.
Output capacity and remote heads
Under CSA certification, the EL-7061S delivers up to 36 W of output for 30 minutes. Furthermore, it can support an additional 32 W of remote lighting on the same battery. Alternatively, under cULus certification, the unit runs 90 minutes at 12 W with up to 8 W of remote lighting. Also, compatible remote heads include the EL-7030A and EL-7030B.
Mounting, environment, and rating
The unit measures 11.8 × 9.25 × 2.95 in (300 × 235 × 75 mm). However, it is suitable for damp locations. The LED color temperature is 6500-7500 K. Finally, the EL-7061S carries CSA and cUL certification plus a 3-year warranty.
