The Mircom FH-400-RR is a red wall- and ceiling-mount fire alarm horn. First, the compact body keeps current draw low. Then more devices fit on a single NAC circuit. As a result, the FH-400-RR reduces the count of external power supplies needed for the building.
Mircom FH-400-RR tones and volume
The horn offers four field-selectable tones. Specifically, the choices are Temporal, Continuous, March Time, and 20 BPM. In addition, two volume levels (high and low) are field-selectable. Furthermore, the settings are located on the back of the unit to prevent tampering.
Power and wiring
The unit operates on 24 VDC regulated or full-wave-rectified power. Also, the FH-400-RR supports 12 to 22 AWG wire. Therefore, it drops onto standard Mircom NAC circuits without re-pulling cable.
Mounting and listings
The horn mounts to the Mircom BB-400 surface back box, a single-gang, 4-inch square, double-gang, octagon, or 4-inch junction box. In addition, it ships with a universal mounting plate and a shorting clip for pre-install wire testing. However, it is for indoor use only. Finally, agency listings include UL 464, ULC S525, and NFPA 72.
