The Fire-Lite CMF-300 is an addressable control module for one supervised notification appliance circuit. Specifically, it lets a Fire-Lite intelligent panel switch a circuit of horns or strobes. In addition, the module reports its status over the addressable loop.
You can wire the output as a single Class B (Style Y) or Class A (Style Z) circuit. Therefore, one CMF-300 controls one notification zone from panel programming. As a result, the panel activates that zone on a selected area-of-coverage basis.
How the Fire-Lite CMF-300 Works
The module itself draws very little power from the loop. However, the notification appliances draw from a separate external supply. First, that external supply feeds the controlled circuit. Then, the CMF-300 switches it on command from the panel.
Rotary switches set the module’s address. Also, a polling LED confirms communication at the device.
