The Edwards G4AWF is a Genesis wall-mount fire alarm horn. Specifically, it is the white-housing, FIRE-marked, horn-only model in the Edwards Genesis G4 indoor signaling family.
First, the G4AWF provides audible-only notification on a standard NAC circuit. Then its low-profile housing mounts to a separately-ordered GRSW-10 room-side wiring plate. As a result, installers can pre-wire the GRSW-10 in rough-in, then snap the appliance onto the wiring plate at trim-out.

About the GRSW-10 requirement
The GRSW-10 wiring plate is required for installation and is not included with the G4AWF. Furthermore, the GRSW-10 lets the installer pre-wire the back box during rough-in and snap the appliance into place at trim-out. As a result, the appliance can be removed for service or replacement without disturbing the field wiring.

- Not a red-housing variant — for fire red, see G4ARF.
- Not a speaker — for 25/70 V speaker output, see the G4-S2 or G4-S7 family.
- Not the LED-based Genesis 4 — for LED appliances, see the EG4 series (which uses the GP10 wiring plate, included with the device).

Typical indoor applications include offices, classrooms, retail spaces, and any indoor location requiring NFPA 72-compliant audible notification per the AHJ’s specification.
