The Kidde VS1-G-2 is an intelligent addressable fire alarm control panel with a gray door. It manages one Signature loop. Specifically, that loop supports up to 64 addressable devices. As a result, it suits small to mid-size commercial buildings.
Kidde VS1-G-2 panel capabilities
The panel includes a 3.75-amp power supply. In addition, it drives two Class B notification appliance circuits rated 2.5 amps each. A four-line LCD handles configuration and diagnostics. Furthermore, the panel offers built-in strobe synchronization. It also supports ANSI Temporal 3 and Temporal 4 coding. Two programmable front-panel switches round out the controls.
Wiring and expansion
The VS1 loop capacity is fixed at 64 devices and cannot be expanded. However, the cabinet holds up to two 10 Ah backup batteries. In addition, the panel connects up to eight remote annunciators. Those runs reach 4,000 feet. Dual Form C alarm and trouble relays support auxiliary functions.
