The Mircom TD-200 is a fixed-temperature heat detector. It activates at 200°F (94°C) for higher-temperature areas. Because it is self-restoring, it resets once temperatures drop.
This detector senses heat with a bi-metal disc element. In alarm, it closes a normally open contact. Then the contact returns to normal as the air cools.
Where the Mircom TD-200 Works Best
The 200°F rating suits warm areas that would trip a 135°F detector. For example, it fits boiler rooms and attics. As a result, it reduces unwanted alarms in hot spaces.
Each detector covers about 225 square feet. Specifically, use 15-foot center spacing and mount 7.5 feet from walls. In addition, the low-profile housing fits standard octagon or square electrical boxes.
