The Wheelock MIZ-24S-R is a red piezoelectric mini horn for indoor fire alarm signaling. It delivers a loud audible tone from a compact housing. Specifically, it suits individual rooms, apartments, hotels, motels, and offices. As a result, it fits spaces where a full-size horn is unnecessary.
Wheelock MIZ-24S-R tones and output
This mini horn operates on 24 VDC, using either filtered or unfiltered power. It produces about 90 dBA at 10 feet. In addition, you can field-select a Continuous or Code 3 temporal tone. Therefore, one device covers both steady and coded signaling.
Synchronization and mounting
The MIZ-24S-R also supports synchronized Code 3 output. For example, it works with Wheelock 12/24 sync modules and Wheelock power supplies. It connects directly to a fire alarm control panel. Finally, it mounts to a standard indoor electrical box, needing no trim plate for flush mounting.
