The Siemens MTH-R is a red multi-tone horn for fire alarm notification, part number 500-636076. Specifically, it is a wall- or ceiling-mount audible appliance in the Siemens Series MTH family. As a result, it delivers loud, code-compliant evacuation signaling for commercial buildings.
The MTH-R offers eight field-selectable alarm tones. These include Horn, Bell, March Time Horn, Code-3 Horn, Code-3 Tone, Slow Whoop, Siren, and Hi/Lo. Compatibility
The MTH-R is UL Listed as a Special Application appliance. Therefore, Siemens intends it for use only with Siemens notification appliance circuits. For example, it pairs with Siemens 50-, 252-, and 504-point addressable panels and FireFinder XLS systems. It also works with PAD-4 and PAD-5 NAC extenders. However, horn/strobe versions are available as MTH-MC-R (500-636078) if visible signaling is required.
