The Siemens SET-MC-W (part# 500-636052) is a multi-candela wall-mount speaker strobe in white. It belongs to the Siemens SET Series of notification appliances. The series delivers emergency voice communication, tone signaling, and visible signaling for the hearing impaired.
Multi-candela flexibility simplifies design and stocking. Specifically, one appliance covers four strobe intensity requirements. Installers select the candela setting in the field with a tamper-resistant switch.
Siemens SET-MC-W Strobe Performance
Field-selectable candela settings are 15, 30, 75, and 110cd. The xenon flashtube sits in a rugged Lexan lens and flashes once per second. Also, strobes can synchronize using Siemens DSC sync modules, FireFinder XLS and MXL panels, or PAD-3/PAD-4 NAC extenders. Strobe current draw at 24VDC ranges from 0.064A (15cd) to 0.233A (110cd).
Speaker Performance
The speaker operates on 25 or 70 VRMS circuits. Field-selectable taps run from 1/8 watt to 8 watts. Sound output ranges from 75 dBA to 93 dBA at 10 feet, by tap. In addition, the frequency range spans 400 to 4000 Hz.
