The Siemens XLS-MSE3-ADPT is a black adapter kit used during FireFinder XLS upgrades. Specifically, it lets an existing MXL-IQ system mounted in an MSE-3L or MSE-3M backbox accept a new FireFinder XLS chassis. As a result, the existing backbox and conduit stay in place during the retrofit.
What is in the Siemens XLS-MSE3-ADPT kit
The kit re-skins a legacy MXL-IQ backbox to match the XLS form factor. It is part of Siemens’ standard XLS enclosure-adapter family. Installation instructions are documented in Siemens SID A6V10328636.

- Designed for MSE-3L and MSE-3M backboxes only
- Color: black, matching the standard XLS architectural finish
- Use during MXL-IQ to FireFinder XLS conversions
- For MME-3 or MBR-2 backboxes, order the XLS-MME3-ADPT instead
Before specifying
Always confirm which legacy MXL backbox is in the field. The MSE-3L and MSE-3M variants are similar in name but distinct from MME-3 and MBR-2. As a result, the wrong adapter will not mount cleanly.
