The Fire-Lite W-SD355 is an intelligent wireless photoelectric smoke detector. It provides addressable smoke sensing without hard-wired initiating circuits. Furthermore, it communicates across a SWIFT Class A wireless mesh network. As a result, it suits buildings where wiring is costly or obtrusive.

This detector connects to the panel through a W-GATE gateway. In addition, the SWIFT mesh operates in the 902 to 928 MHz band. The network uses frequency hopping for reliable communication. Also, each device keeps two communication parents for path redundancy.
